Kuroda Toko 黒田稲皐

Kuroda Toko (1785–1846) was a member of the samurai class from Tottori. He moved to Edo after studying with the official painter to the lord of his native province. Toko established a reputation for meticulously rendered bird-and-flower paintings based on shasei and was especially renowned for his paintings of carp.
